How Yoochun’s flip flops obsession made Junsu a fashion terror
(Talking about clothes and shoes)
JS: You all know how Yoochun loves his flip flops; he even wears them in the winter. And they looked so pretty and comfirtable on his feet. Once, he wore shorts and flip flops in the winter, and articles said, “Park Yoochun, his airport fashion looks so comfortable.” So I thought “Hey, maybe I should try that too.” I’m the least worried about fashion in the group and I believe that whatever I feel comfortable in is what looks good. So I wore flip flops and comfortable clothes, and the headlines the next day read, “Airport Junsu strikes back.” Why is it that he’s an airport fashion trend setter and I’m a fashion terror? I’ve sworn off flip flops since then.
YC: I have so many flip flops. When you go to someone’s house, they usually have all these different kinds of shoes laid out in front of the door. In my house, all you can see are flip flops and my sneakers are tucked away elsewhere.
Champagne is the root of all hangovers… at least for Jaejoong
YC: Last night, we went to a club with our US dancers and people from our company. I got there first, then Junsu, then Jaejoong. He was late because it was one of his friends’ birthdays. When he came, he was already…. smashed. Apparently they had drunken 40 bottles of champagne at the birthday party. He stayed the latest at the club because he arrived the latest, which is probably why he doesn’t look that great right now. Pretty sure he’s still hungover.
Why the US dancers call Junsu’s tour the ‘Healing Tour’
JJ: Usually after a concert, everyone goes out for drinks and celebrates a successful show. Junsu can’t drink, so instead of going out during his solo tour, he would just go straight to his room and rest after each show. So his US dancers always say that their health seems to improve when they’re touring with Junsu.
JS: It’s true, they call it my ‘Healing Tour’.
YC: Junsu has such a low tolerance for alcohol. We got him to try it, and you could literally hear creaks when he moved his eyes around.
JS: I was drinking what I thought was a mocktail. But then my heart started pounding and I could hear my eyes just whizzing around. It was then that I realized it had alcohol in it.”
JYJ: A ganster, a vampire and a sailor
The MC asked JYJ about the similarities they could draw between themselves and their latest characters.
Junsu talked about Dracula and how he searches for love and just feels things so deeply.
Jaejoong talked about Yongdal and how he has two sides to him. Jaejoong connects to that because he acts differently around people he does know and people doesn’t.
JS: I saw him acting and wow, he made such a believable gangster! It was even better than Changshik in a drama he did in the past. It seemed like Jaejoong’s inner gangster was coming out!
Yoochun talked about Dong Shik and how he’s so innocent and naive.
JS: It’s true. Most people seem to rust as the times go by, but Yoochun seems to just shed rust as he ages! He gets more innocent as the years go by.
JJ: Yes I totally feel that too
YC: I was saying it as a joke…. but okay then. Sure.
There was a segment where JYJ were given a dating scenario, and used KakaoTalk to voice their opinions.
Junsu, as always, was doing his best and typing long answers with a serious look on his face.
Yoochun’s phone wasn’t working at first but then he just left short, succint answers.
Jaejoong, on the other hand, was giggling and using emoticons to express himself, because he has all these FEELS. He was like “ooooooh I’ve never seen some of these emoticons before. so coooool”
While Junsu was trying to explain his answer, Jaejoong and Yoochin were giggling like school girls and posting emoticons.
When it was time to hand the phones back, Jaejoong first refused to, but was the peer pressured into it with a big pout.
Holding hands over kisses: Kim Jaejoong, the closet romantic
While talking about their dramas, Jaejoong was talking about kiss scenes.
JJ: Kiss scenes don’t really excite me, it’s just part of my job. But what makes my heart race is holding someone’s hand. When I hold someone’s hand, I usually grab the wrist first. The reason I do that is because I can feel my partner’s pulse there. I can gauge just how into it they are in the scene through that pulse. And then I slide down to clasp their hand. It’s there that I can fill a shimmer of sweat on their palms. It’s those kinds of things that feel more romantic than kissing scenes.
While he was saying this, he was demonstrating on Junsu, who was like “oooh I feel goosebumps up my arms” when Jaejoong grabbed his wrist
Junsu’s greatest ASSests, Jaejoong’s soft lips and Yoochun’s soulful eyes
The three members were asked to pick their best body part.
Junsu (as expected) picked his butt. To quote Yoochun, “It’s the kind of butt you normally can’t find in Asia.” Junsu said, “I always thought of it negatively and called it a duck butt, but all the positive comments I’ve gotten on my butt has made me more comfortable with it.” Junsu got a round of applause of his perky booty.
Jaejoong picked his lips. He said, “My lips tend to get very red naturally. People always say, ‘Did you put something on your lips?’ when I haven’t!! *pouts* Also, when I film kiss scenes, I feel like if my partner’s lips feel a little dry, that means my lips are very soft for them. In all the kiss scenes I’ve done, there’s never been a time where my partner’s lips didn’t feel dry. That means my partners thought my lips were very soft, right?”
Yoochun picked his eyes because he believes that the eyes are the window to the soul that can show when something’s lying or not. He picked his eyes in the hopes that when people look into his eyes, they’re able to see who he truly is. (So deep, this child)
Yoochun’s greatest skill is apparently…. eating
The members were told to write down what they believe they’re best at in the group.
Junsu wrote “athleticism” but referred to competitiveness more than strength (he says Jaejoong tops that one)
Jaejoong wrote “Cooking delicious things” because… we all know he cooks delicious food 🙂
Yoochun wrote “Eating the delicious food”. Yes, Yoochun’s greatest skill is eating, ladies and gentlemen.
Apparently the three members get a little chubby when they go to Japan than when they’re in Korea. They say it’s partially because there are so many temptations of good food, and partially because they’re stuck in their dorms all day, so they get a bit lonely and end up eating to fill that void. (Oh my..) The three of them got these dreamy looks in their eyes as they said, “There are so many delicious things to eat in this world… *happy sigh*”
Junsu aka Prince Charming on his White Horse + Junsu the Musical Genius
While talking about Junsu’s competitiveness, they started talking about Junsu’s middle school days.
YC: Junsu told me this himself, but apparently he was the most popular boy in his middle school. He called himself Prince Charming on a white horse!
JS: No, no! What happened was that I had a friend who had a younger sister in the grade below me, or two grades below me. She once said, “Oppa, do you know what the girls in my class say when you walk by? They say you look like Prince Charming on a white horse!” That’s what I meant when I said that!! Although I was the popular one in middle school, Eun Hyuk from Super Junior became more popular than me in high school. In middle school, I took care of my appearance but I let that go in high school. Coupled with the fact that I was struggling with my voice changing, I stopped caring. But I was at the top in middle school. In high school, I would normally just beep my card in the rehearsal room for trainees and then go change and play soccer instead because my voice wasn’t cooperating with me.
JJ: I was really jealous of him back then. When we were trainees, we had to beep our card at the entrance to log in how many hours we’d practiced. I was there all the time practicing, and we used to have weekly singing recitals to showcase how much we’d progressed or we’d be cut from the program. What made me jealous was that I would practice all week long and still make some mistakes, whereas Junsu would flawlessly get through the whole song, even though I’d barely seen him in the practice room!
YC: Yes, Junsu is a musical genius, he really is.
JS: Why the flattery all of a sudden? What do you want from me?
YC: Just… let me stay on this team? haha
Throughout this conversation, Junsu looked super embarrassed and was freaking out trying to stop Yoochun from making the Prince Charming comment. Adorable baby X)
Jaejoong’s strangeness and the meaning behind “Dear J”
When asked to pick the strangest member in the group, all three members chose Jaejoong (Junsu wrote “Jaejoong Hyung”, Jaejoong wrote “Me” and Yoochun wrote “Big Kim”)
Apparently Jaejoong let a random stranger sleep in his bed in Japan and arm wrestled a bunch of people in a bar for fun.
Jaejoong’s reasonings were a) The guy looked really lonely and how nice would it be for him if someone went and struck a conversation with him? Hey, that someone could be me! Heck yes, Imma do that right now… and somehow he ended up bringing the drunk guy to the JYJ dorm and letting him sleep in his bed… which is how Yoochun and Junsu found out about the stranger.
Also, b) there was a guy boasting about how he was stronger than everyone else in the bar. To prove him wrong, Jaejoong arm wrestled everyone (and everyone there were athletes) and beat all of them. F’yeah.
Jaejoong also mentioned that he had different lyrics written for ‘Dear J’ initially. On the night before the recording of the song, Jaejoong had a dream that Angelina Jolie came to him with black wings sprouting out from her back (This was before Jaejoong knew about Maleficent). She embraced him and said, “I’m going to show you how to fly,” and once they had flown for a bit, she said, “Now it’s your turn to learn how to fly by yourself.” He woke up from that dream and felt the need to write about Brad and Angelina’s relationship, which is also why he called the song “dear J(olie)”.Credit: dongbangdata Shared by: ParkYoochunSGFC
